A very useful application that integrates well with your website. I've used it for a few months now, and although we're using the free version, it serves its purpose well! Haven't had any trouble at all and good customer service support from Julian.
This app has given us the tool we needed to advertise our open positions in the company. It was easily installed into our store and we have had no tech issues with it since.
App is clunky, formating text does not work even after trying their very basic native formating text editor not worth it at all.
EDIT: Some minor tweaks to the back-end have made this app our choice again for this hiring season even though we thought it would not be. It has more functionality than other application apps in Shopify and includes features similar to Indeed with being able to create templates and send messages to candidates. We are able to add more customization to our application so we no longer use the questionnaire function. I've updated our review to 4 stars. One star off for communication as there is no way to get in touch with anyone when there is an emergent issue. No one can access the app today at all, but we'll have to wait 2-3 days to get a response form customer support. The program is an OK way to post and receive applications and blends in well with the Shopify platform. It automatically puts candidates into the customer database which is helpful if they get hired, that is one less data entry step on our end. Automated emails are a huge time saver when they work. On the not-so-great side, as a seasonal business, this model has difficulty doing some of the things I need to do in back-end adminsitration. Also, formatting the application is difficult as what you do in their basic editor is overridden by your shop's CSS. I can't include all the questions on the application itself, I have to use the additional step of a questionnaire. Questionnaires seem to be pretty buggy right now, or maybe not. I don't know because I can't get any one of my many questions answered. I might just be doing something wrong. The first couple of questions before we started paying for the app were immediately answered, even if they couldn't do anything for me. Recently, I've been waiting more than a week for answers. General email and in-app chat are the only options, there is no phone number to reach out to. The sudden lack of all communication outside automated notifications is worrisome considering our big hiring push is beginning this week. It's too late to change now, we will just hobble along this year but unless things change, I don't think we would use this app for our needs next year.
Jacob and the entire team at ShopHire are fantastic!! I would HIGHLY recommend downloading this app without hesitation. Not only is the product fantastic and incredibly intuitive to use, but Jacob and the ShopHire team are such a joy to work with, and are incredibly responsive, kind, and helpful! When one downloads an app you don't always know if there will be a friendly face on the other side of it, but I can't say enough glowing things about Jacob. He was easy to get in touch with, is a joy to work with and truly cares about assisting people with their employment needs. I had no difficulties using the product. It was an ease to work with, seamlessly integrated into my site, was immediately intuitive, and I was instantly able to post job openings and sort through applications. As you can see, I could go on and on about my fantastic experience with ShopHire... I feel confident you will have a similarly positive experience!
For being so easy to download and extend to Shopify, ShopHire has exceeded our expectations. It is easy to use, and whether you are a small business with little to no experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) or have experience using larger ATS/HRIS systems - ShopHire meets the needs for either. It is as easy to navigate as your Google Suite account, allows you to make immediate edits to the careers page (tech guru or not), tracks how and where applicants are finding your job postings, creates candidate profiles to save relevant information, and much more. The developers behind this app are also rooting for your business and readily available to address questions, help curate your content, and encourage suggestions to continue to make the platform the best it can be. In short, thanks, ShopHire!
Our company was looking for a quick and simple tool to integrate with Shopify and allow us to create a careers page and accept job applications. Most apps we found were full blown ATS systems which were quite expensive and beyond what we needed. I'm very happy we found the ShopHire app. It is exactly what we were looking for and then some! It allows us to quickly put job postings, review resumes, send emails to applicants and so much more. I think the best part though is with working with the development team. They assisted us with integrating the app and helped fix any errors. They have also been open to suggestions and customizations. Jacob has been a pleasure to work with and we look forward to working with the team in the future as our company grows.
I'm giving this app a test run on the free version prior to deciding if I want to upgrade. I think the devs have some work to do before I will consider upgrading. Namely: - fix spelling mistakes and typos in the email templates - allow the upload of multiple files -allow postings to require certain uploads. For example, a resume and a licence With some adjustments and fixing, I think they can bump up to a 5 star review quite easily.
