No. WooCommerce is required because the plugin reads WooCommerce products and product categories.
Add the Amitry Slider block and set Show to Products, or add the Elementor widget and set Slider Type to Products, or paste the [amitry_slider type="products"] shortcode. No code is required.
Yes. Set Show to Categories in the block editor, or Slider Type to Categories in Elementor, to display a WooCommerce category carousel with images, names and optional product counts.
Only visually, and only if you want. The slider requests a proportional image and applies the shape you choose with CSS, so the file on disk keeps its real proportions. Set Image Fit to “Crop to fill” for uniform cards, or to “Show full image” to display the whole photo uncropped. Nothing is cropped on upload.
Yes, and you have three ways to handle it. 3:2 and 2:3 are built in alongside 1:1, 4:3, 3:4 and 16:9, if you shoot to one consistent ratio. “Automatic” shapes a single frame to suit whatever your photos actually are, which suits most shops. “Follow each image” gives every card the shape of its own photo, so a mixture of portrait and landscape all fill their frames with nothing cropped and nothing left over, at the cost of cards having different heights. Your files are never altered on upload.
Set the Max Width option. In the block editor it is in the Card Style panel; in the Elementor widget it is under Elements. The slider will grow no wider than that value and will center itself, which is useful on themes with a wide or full width content area.
Yes. The plugin declares compatibility with custom_order_tables. It does not read or write orders.
Yes. The block uses server-side rendering and works in any theme that supports the block editor.

Yes. In the block editor, set Filter to “From Category”. In Elementor, set “Products From” to “From Category”. Then pick the categories you want. You can also use the category slider to display your product categories as a carousel instead.
Set Image Ratio to “Automatic” and the frame takes the shape your photos actually are, rather than a preset you have to guess at. If nothing may be cropped at all, choose “Follow each image”: every card then takes the shape of its own photo, so each one fills its frame exactly. Cards will vary in height, which is the price of never cropping and never leaving a gap. In “Show full image” any small remainder is filled with the photo’s own background colour, so a card still reads as one surface.
