The free version of this plugin does not connect to any external services.

Anthropic Claude API (Pro — Smart Engine & AI Rule Builder)

What data is sent:

• Customer type (new / returning / loyal — derived from order count)
• Order count (total number of completed orders)
• Lifetime value range (none / low / medium / high / vip — a bucketed range, not the exact figure)
• Cart total (rounded to 2 decimal places)
• Cart item count
• Discount intensity setting chosen by the store owner (soft / balanced / bold)
• Exit-intent signal (true or false — whether the customer moved the mouse toward closing the tab)

What is NOT sent:

• No customer names, email addresses, billing addresses, or phone numbers
• No payment information of any kind
• No IP addresses or device identifiers
• No order history details or product information
• No personally identifiable information of any kind

Why it is sent:

The data is used to decide in real time whether to offer the visiting customer a personalised discount, and at what percentage or fixed amount. The AI response is processed and stored entirely on your own server. Anthropic does not retain store data beyond the scope of processing the individual request.

When the API is called:

• When a customer loads the WooCommerce cart page and Smart Engine is enabled
• Only once per unique customer context (results are cached for 1 hour to avoid repeated calls)
• Not called at all if Smart Engine is disabled or no API key is saved

The store owner’s API key for the chosen provider is stored encrypted in the WordPress database (AES-256-CBC). It is never exposed in source code or transmitted anywhere other than to the chosen provider.

GiantWP Discount Rules – Dynamic Pricing & BOGO Deals for WooCommerce uses Appsero SDK to collect some telemetry data upon user’s confirmation. This helps us to troubleshoot problems faster & make product improvements.

Appsero SDK does not gather any data by default. The SDK only starts gathering basic telemetry data when a user allows it via the admin notice. We collect the data to ensure a great user experience for all our users.

Integrating Appsero SDK DOES NOT IMMEDIATELY start gathering data, without confirmation from users in any case.
