1 ratingAI Auto Tagger reads each post or product and adds the most relevant tags for it, automatically. Everything happens on your own server: there is no external service, no account to create, and none of your content is ever sent anywhere.
How tags are chosen
The engine scores every word and phrase in the title and content by four signals:
- How often it appears in the text
- Whether it appears in the title
- Whether it is a multi-word phrase rather than a single word
- Whether your site already uses it as a tag
The best candidates become tags, up to the maximum you set. Tags you added yourself are never removed or replaced; the plugin only ever appends.

This plugin makes no network requests. Content analysis runs entirely in PHP on your server. Nothing is collected, stored elsewhere, or shared.

No. Existing tags are never removed or changed. The plugin appends new tags only, and only while the post is below your maximum tag count.
Yes. Enable Products in the settings and product tags are handled the same way as post tags. The plugin declares compatibility with high-performance order storage and block checkout; it never touches orders.

The engine itself is language neutral and works on any text, including non-Latin alphabets. Bundled stopword lists (words too common to be tags) cover English, German, French, Spanish and Macedonian; the right list is picked from your site language automatically, and the exclusion list lets you extend it.
Everything. Version 1 depended on a remote keyword service that has been retired, so tagging had stopped working. Version 2 is a full rewrite: local engine, block editor support, WooCommerce support, a batched scanner with preview, and current WordPress security practices. Your per-post on/off choices from 1.0 are kept.
