2 of 5 measures had too little evidence to score. They are left out of the total rather than counted as zero — otherwise a plugin would be marked down for being small rather than for being poorly kept.Measured 2026-09-13 from the WordPress.org plugin registry.
Ratings

No one has rated this plugin on WordPress.org yet. That is a statement about the ratings page, not about the plugin — plenty of well-kept plugins never collect them.

Sticky WooCommerce Header Cart adds a responsive sticky purchase bar to WooCommerce single-product pages.

When the main WooCommerce purchase area scrolls out of view, the plugin can keep important product information and the purchase action visible at the top or bottom of the screen.

Version 2.0 is a complete modernization of the original Sticky WooCommerce Header Cart plugin.

Why use a sticky purchase bar?

Long product pages often contain galleries, descriptions, specifications, reviews, related products, and other content. As shoppers move down the page, the normal Add to Cart area may no longer be visible.

Sticky WooCommerce Header Cart keeps the purchase action accessible without requiring theme template edits.

Smart display modes

Choose how the sticky bar becomes visible:

After main cart leaves view

The sticky bar stays hidden while the normal WooCommerce purchase form is visible. It appears after that purchase area scrolls above the viewport.

After scroll distance

Show the sticky bar after the visitor scrolls a configurable number of pixels.

Product-aware purchasing

Simple products

Purchasable simple products can display quantity and Add to Cart controls directly in the sticky bar.

Variable products

Before a variation is selected, the sticky bar displays a Choose options action.

After WooCommerce detects a valid variation selection, the sticky bar can reflect the selected variation price and product state. The shopper remains connected to WooCommerce’s main variation form so required attributes and WooCommerce validation are not bypassed.

Grouped, external, and other product types

Products that require their own WooCommerce purchase flow are not forced into a simple-product Add to Cart process. The sticky action guides the shopper to the main product purchase area instead.

Lightweight by design

The plugin does not create custom database tables and does not require an external account, API key, analytics service, or remote tracking service.

Its purpose is intentionally focused: improve access to the product purchase action on WooCommerce single-product pages.

Does this plugin require WooCommerce?

Yes. The sticky purchase bar is designed specifically for WooCommerce single-product pages.

If WooCommerce is unavailable, the plugin remains safe and displays an administrator notice rather than causing a frontend error.

Does the sticky cart appear on the Shop page or product category pages?

No. Version 2.0 is intentionally focused on WooCommerce single-product pages, where the complete product and purchasing context is available.

Do I need to edit my theme files?

No. The sticky purchase bar is added automatically on supported WooCommerce product pages.

What does “After main cart leaves view” mean?

The sticky bar remains hidden while WooCommerce’s normal purchase form is visible. When the visitor scrolls far enough that the normal Add to Cart area is no longer visible, the sticky bar appears.

What does “After scroll distance” mean?

The sticky bar appears after the visitor scrolls the configured number of pixels.

Does it support simple products?

Yes. Purchasable simple products can display quantity and Add to Cart controls directly in the sticky bar.

Does it support variable products?

Yes. The sticky bar can respond to WooCommerce’s selected variation state and update the displayed price. Required variation choices and WooCommerce validation remain handled by WooCommerce’s main product form.

What about grouped and external products?

The sticky bar respects their WooCommerce-specific purchase flow and guides the shopper to the main purchase area rather than bypassing required behavior.

Can the sticky bar appear at the bottom of the screen?

Yes. Choose Top or Bottom in the plugin settings.

Can I disable the sticky cart on mobile?

Yes. Mobile display can be disabled independently. You can also keep it enabled while hiding the product image on smaller screens.

Can visitors close the sticky bar?

Yes. Enable the optional dismiss control in the plugin settings.

Does the plugin send data to an external service?

No. The plugin does not add telemetry, analytics, external APIs, or remote tracking.

Will my old version 1.0 settings cause problems?

Version 2.0 replaces the obsolete version 1.0 settings interface with a new focused configuration. Legacy options are not used by the new sticky purchase bar and are removed only when the plugin is uninstalled.
