1 star - I’d give less if I could. Two consecutive rent payments failed despite sufficient funds — support refused to help. And worse told me it was fixed when it wasn’t. My business rent payment through Shopify Bill Pay (powered by Melio) failed in June despite having sufficient funds in my account. I was told it was resolved. It failed again in July, same issue, same available funds. I requested an escalation and waited over 16 hours with no resolution or clear timeline (still waiting). When I pushed for answers, Melio support refused to help, refused to cc shopify support, and passed me to a manager without resolving the issue. Still haven’t heard from a manager. Shopify support is a little better respect wise but I’m still waiting on a resolution. If you’re relying on this for anything time-sensitive — rent, payroll, vendor payments — DONT USE IT especially if you’re on the basic Shopify plan they don’t care to treat you with respect and they do not offer phone call support to resolve quickly. Customer service these days has gone way downhill it’s just chatbots and folks that don’t care.
It works but it is clunky. Connecting to email and having it pull invoice was a huge help though. Definitely would give 5 stars if it would work with Shopify Flow. Ex: I've created vendor report that runs at the beginning of every month for the previous month sales. The flow would to take that report and create a bill for the net sales (it would save time and allow for a smoothly process). I only have 6 vendors right now but anticipate to get to 40 vendors by the end of the year. If the flow was an option that would save so much time. It is odd that both of Shopify native apps but don't work together.
While rudimentary, we appreciate having a fee-free way (using Shopify Balance as our account) to pay our vendors. It takes awhile to process, but it does the job. The only real critique is that I have to coach some vendors to try using a different browser to set up their bank details the first time. We hear fairly often that they couldn't complete the initial set up. That is usually solved when we suggest they use a different browser. Edit to add: We have used this service for several years and continue to use it.
Shopify Bill Pay and their team have been outstanding to work with. We made the move from QuickBooks Online and Bill.com and have been VERY HAPPY with the ease of use and direct integration of managing our bills through Shopify. Just forward invoices to your personalized invoice email address and they are waiting for payment and management in Bill Pay. Easy payments options via ACH, Physical Mailed Check or wire transfer. Friendly customer service and development team always eager to help and learn about ways they can improve the platform and better meet our use needs. Awesome app and tool for our bill payment needs.
Customer support is difficult to get a hold of, the transfers take far longer than any other service I've used, and the money that they fumbled is being returned via check in the mail. Horrible.
Does anyone know a trick for the "download report" it does not work
If you want to deal with no way to contact anyone, no support, missing funds, people who dont respond to emails for weeks, talk in circles, then this app is for you.
Probably the biggest joke of a company to deal with, no support, no way to contact anyone who actually responds, 7 days no email responses, shopify support is who you are supposed to contact, oh wait they cant help either.
